I successfully installed freebsd 4.8 on one of my box making it as a second OS . I did minimal installation since I dont have enough space to install the GUI such as KDE, i only installed the xfree86 and window maker.I had to use also the FIPS utility to repartition my hard drive and since I had no local cd drive on that box , I had to configure and to set up my NFS server on my slackware machine in order to install it on a network cd drive. I had to use 2 boot disks namely kern.flp and mfsroot.flp before i installed fbsd on that box.
Now, Im familiarizing the bsd environment and had to study bsd's firewall IP filtering.
