xmas wish list

a.Ipod? - like the style, but don't like their headphones, headphones much better on some good mp3 players like creative, mpio or iriver. Ipod projects more on the image and you look great if you have one. still thinking, expensive. i like to have this one even the old models, for some geeky purposes --> ipodlinux , but got some attention also to this one --> RavMonE virus in video Ipods

b.Laptop -dreaming to have this one since after college, even not the expensive branded ones, MSI or ECS will do as long it has Wireless LAN, built in infrared/bluetooth :)

c. LCD monitor - to look cool, pleasant for the eyes or to save energy?? all of them :)

d. Car - maybe

e. Sneakers - i still prefer the old skul Vans

f. DM's - mine is already old, still like this one.

g. miscellaneous - cool t-shirts, maong pants and it seems i like my lower lip pierced, tattoo? i like it but still thinking for a good design/artwork

dreaming...

neverending simulation

just installed slack today, still installing some of my needed software, at least i already have the Limewire for my multimedia pleasures, ill stick with KDE for now. Served for me in double purpose, i was asked to evaluate applications on Linux since plan is to have Linux as desktop OS for the employees due to licensing issues.

boredom
...bored (sigh)

im at the office...working, then it's better than none, as one of my fave quotes goes:
"Work spares us from three evils, boredom, vice and need"

then another saying goes:
"Life swings like a pendulum backward and forward between pain and boredom"

that's why
"The cure for boredom is curiosity" problem is
"there is no cure for curiosity"

but still
"i'm a man of great ambition to die of exhaustion rather than boredom"

lalalala

excerpt from blur's parklife

Confidence is a preference for the habitual voyeur of what is known as... (boringlife!)
And morning soup can be avoided if you take a route straight chrough what is known as... (boringlife!)
Johns got brewers droop, he gets intimidated by the dirty pigeons - they love a bit of it. (boringlife!)
Whos that gut lord marching? you should cut down on your porklife, mate, get some exercise! (boringlife!)

get up when I want, except on wednesdays, when I get rudely wakened by the dustmen. (boringlife!)
I put my trousers on, have a cup of tea, and I think about leaving the house. (boringlife!)
I feed the pigeons, I sometimes feed the sparrows too.
It gives me a sense of enormous well-being. (boringlife!)
And then Im happy for the rest of the day,
Safe in the knowledge there will always be a bit of my heart devoted to it.

I'm the hero, but I'm the zero

it's been a while, i have so many things on my mind, while im on my desk at work, when i'm walking, when im at the bus,cab or jeepney, when im on my bed, daydreaming, but i can't put them into writings, too bad, i don't have a powerful photograhic mind, or maybe i can bring a paper and pen with me always, but it's inappropriate. Im an observant, and i saw several things during that time, for e.g. how people dressed nowadays, some people will do everything to make them recognize, or to prove their existence, you can see people wearing clothes to make look good and cool, eventhough their personality does not reflect themselves, from hairstyles, clothing, and how they act, but some people really don't know that its the lifestyle and attitude that really matters the most. Some are trying hard and overacting in a sense that their real self can be seen no more. Anways, it's not really a big deal.

For the past week is a busy week for us, Manila suffered so much from the previous typhoon "Milenyo", and as far as I'm concern, the previous incident was the worst typhoon I have witnessed for the past 10 yrs I think, I'm in the office when the typhoon struck and I witnessed the strong winds and how it affects so much esp. in our work, we experienced blackout and water is leaking everywhere on the office floors, we had to do things so it will not affect the office operation, it's almost 2 days that our server room is powered by our own genset, it's kind of exhausting on our part, we had to do some contingency plan in scenarios like these. Maintenace of the genset was not really part of our job but no one will do it aside from our dept. well, fortunately our servers are ok, all the equipments i maintained were my worries, from the mail server to the pbx system. Some of our desktop PCs, expectedly went into blue screen because of unstable commercial power.Frequent current fluctuations was one big factor why the management had to suspend the operations for the call center, decided to have all our telesales agents to call it half day, leaving only the inbound agents and MIS remained in the office.

there is really nothing to do when there's no electricity, esp. at home, we are really dependent to it in order to lessen our boredom, usually at home, it's seldom that i use my PC since im kinda tired of browsing the net, tired of watching tv series on DVD, almost finished watching Alias seasons 1-4, 24 seasons 1-2, Lost 1-2,haven't watched season 3 yet, Without a trace season 1, naruto of course and sometimes korean telenovelas, lolzzzzz, playing online sometimes pisses me off coz of my lag connection, still on dialup :(, that's why yesterday to keep me busy, i thought of checking my old stuffs, and got to see all my review materials when i had my board exam few years ago, i also saw books that i used to read before, i like reading before, from anne rice books, fond of vampire stories, to john grisham novels, that's when before i had interest in some legal/courtroom drama and political science-related stories.
here are some of those:
